| |  Actually, this craft business had established since Sabar Raharjo’s ancestors. In 1982, Sabar Raharjo developed it and established “ SABAR “ leather puppet gallery, which was address at Pucung, Wukirsari, Imogiri, Bantul Regency.
Because of his business, he then asked his wife, Dasiyah who born on March 16th, 1965, to help him. Formerly, this gallery made leather puppet only. Then, Sabar doesn’t produce leather puppet only after he looked the craft development in Imogiri. Various leather crafts he produces are leather puppet, lampshade, book boundary and so on.
Taking 23 permanent and 5 daily workers, he can produce 1000 various craft products every month. He takes the material from Jepara and Segoroyoso Bantul. His monthly income has reached Rp 25 millions.
To market his products, he has opened showrooms at big cities in Indonesia, such as Yogyakarta, Jakarta and Bali. At the end 2004, he opened showroom at the Art Market of Gabusan Lots III Kav 26 on Parangtritis Street Km.9, Sewon, Bantul Regency. Besides, he ever followed exhibitions at Ina Craft, IKRA, JEC and PRJ. Sabar Raharjo has sold his products to Surabaya, Malang, Bandung, Jakarta and Bali. For foreign market, Sabar Raharjo has sold his product to Cairo (Egypt) and Taiwan.
