Knowing that craft business prospect in Bantul area growing better, Erna Widyaningrum tried to open craft business with her own capital. In early 1996, she opened this business as an activity to fill her leisure time. She named it Tamara Accessories, which is address at Jetis, Pendowoharjo, Sewon, Bantul. Phone: 081328741542.
Going together with the time, Tamara Accessories finally developed and became big living. Helped by 6 workers, it can produce 20.000 souvenirs every month. Those are wind-bell, Buddha candle, tissue box and so on.
Tamara Accessories’ products have been spread over Jakarta, Bali, Lampung and Yogyakarta. Its product selling rates Rp 3 to Rp 7 millions every month. It has also sold its products to Brazil, Australia and Singapore.
It is possible to say that Tamara Accessories has had good condition in running craft business, because it has customer from Brazil. It because of Erna Widyaningrum’s determination in running her business and following exhibitions like at JEC. At the end 2004, the government of Bantul Regency gave a chance to her to open outlet at the Art Market of Gabusan Los 9 Kav. 16.
